I cannot give any specifics, but I may have a possible chance of getting something sort of related to this site. I can say no more. I just hope it comes with the hilarious sub-titles.

Leo has always had a crappy web site. But now it seems the local alt-weekly has stopped updating the thing all together. The club listings have never been reliable, but neither have the Courier-Journal's. Those two combined and a few strategically placed phone calls were usually enough to find out what was really happening in town. Now it seems I'll be at the mercy of the CJ. Ugh.

So many exciting things going on, and so little time to write about it. I spent the better part of my weekend hiding from the blistering cold. I watched the big game, ate a couple brats and drank a few beers. The outcome of the all-pirate themed SuperBowl was of little concern to me. Both teams were the kind of dirty-playing, hard-hitting bastards that I love to watch. My only wish was that it would have been closer.

There's not much music here in town for the next little while and maybe that's as it should be. With Hans Blix's report today and the State of the Union speech tomorrow the time is short. War is upon us. It's going to be a nasty business, as all war is bound to be. But it is necessary. And my thoughts these days are with the men and women charged with fighting on our behalf. Be strong, be safe and come home soon.
