The War on Terror Finally Reaches My Doorstep!I came home from work yesterday to find a piece of paper, folded in half twice, sitting on the rectangle of carpet that serves as my doormat. Knowing that I paid rent on time and that I hadn't flagrantly violated any of the rules lately, I was curious to see what could warrant a hand-delivered letter. So I picked it up and stepped inside. To my surprise, this letter was a notice from the company who manages my complex and apparently several others. They, having heard about the Orange Threat Level and the specific mention of apartment building attacks, felt it was a good idea to let us all know what we should do. Here's the letter. Right. So, the cold is gone but just barely. It was an interesting weekend all around, but I can't share anything about that here now.Hmmm. That's a lousy thing to post on a web site, isn't it?I'm busy at work and even busier outside of work, so it will all have to wait until later. In order to distract your attention from the harsh reality of the winter waiting outside I leave you with this picture from the warmth and sunshine of Merlefest in beautiful North Carolina.
